A postpartum recovery visit here starts with a pelvic floor check, not a skin consultation. Leaking, heaviness and prolapse are the things most women live with for years without ever being assessed, while loose skin gets attention right away. This programme treats what the assessment actually finds, in that order — not a fixed cosmetic package.
This is a combined postpartum visit, available from six weeks after delivery, once your own postnatal check has cleared you. It is built around what the assessment finds, not a fixed menu: pelvic floor strength and any prolapse, how a C-section or episiotomy scar has healed, and abdominal skin and muscle separation where that is relevant.
What happens after the assessment depends entirely on what it finds. Nothing is sold as a single package in advance, and the number of any further sessions is decided individually.
Leaking urine, a feeling of heaviness, or a dragging sensation in the vagina after birth are common and are also the symptoms most often left unassessed for years, because they are not visible the way loose skin is. Treating abdominal skin does nothing for a weak or injured pelvic floor.
Because this is a urogynecology clinic first, the pelvic floor is checked before or alongside any scar or skin treatment — never after. Where rehabilitation is needed, it starts with correctly taught pelvic floor training, not assumed to already be known, and the Dr. Arnold Magnetic Chair may be used alongside that training in selected cases after assessment, not instead of it.
A C-section or episiotomy scar is examined for healing before any scar treatment is considered — confirmed by examination, not assumed from how many weeks have passed, since healing speed varies between individuals. Scars that are still red, raised, painful, or show any sign of infection or separation are not treated until that has resolved.
Where treatment is appropriate, Morpheus8 RF microneedling is one option used on scars once fully healed — decided after assessment, not promised in advance. More on Morpheus8 →
Diastasis recti — separation of the abdominal muscles during pregnancy — is checked as part of the assessment. For most women, correctly taught core and pelvic floor exercises are the starting point, not a device or a procedure.
Loose abdominal skin or stretch marks are a separate, later conversation from the pelvic floor and scar work, and are not the first thing addressed. Where skin treatment is appropriate, it does not replace pelvic floor rehabilitation and is not a substitute for surgery where the issue is excess skin rather than skin quality.
The assessment is offered from six weeks after delivery, following your own postnatal check. Some elements — particularly scar treatment — may need longer depending on individual healing, confirmed at the visit rather than assumed from the calendar.
Suitability for any further treatment, including RF microneedling or the magnetic chair, is decided individually and is not used in pregnancy. Tell whoever assesses you about any ongoing bleeding, infection, or complications from the delivery before anything beyond the initial check is planned.
Not a fixed cosmetic package. This is a clinical assessment that treats what is found, in priority order — it is not a bundled "makeover" with a set price or a promised look.
Results vary and are not promised. How pelvic floor training, scar care or skin treatment respond differs between individuals. No specific outcome or timeframe is guaranteed.
Skin treatment does not fix the pelvic floor. Leaking, heaviness or prolapse are assessed and treated as their own problem, regardless of what is done for skin or scars.
No residency, referral or Thai insurance is needed. The initial assessment and a first session of whatever it identifies can usually be arranged within a short stay.
Because the rest of any plan is set only after that assessment, visitors should expect a personalised timeline rather than a fixed one, with follow-up either across a longer stay or continued with a clinician at home. You will see a female specialist. Consultations are conducted in English or Thai.
Tell us what's actually changed since delivery — leaking, heaviness, a scar, or your skin — and we'll tell you honestly what to check first. Message us on LINE.
